Welcome to
The HOGE Family Name Page
It is claimed by some writers that the father of William Hoge, sometimes spelled Hogue, James Hoge, was the son of George Hoge, a Huguenot from Le Hogue, Normandy, France, in about 1600, and that the name of Hoge (Hogue) is derived from the town of La Hogue near Cherbourg, the scene of a battle many years ago.
